Chick Flicks: Can't live with them, can't live without them. Romantic comedy is the perfect genre to watch for a movie night with the girls. Next time you need a night in, grab one of these and get ready to laugh, cry and talk to the screen in protest or agreement.

"You've Got Mail"

Summary: Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks are competing business owners, trying to put each other out of the neighborhood. They are also both unknowingly involved in an online relationship with each other. When their private and public worlds collide, movie magic happens.

Analysis: This movie is for a group of girls who know what it's like to follow that "mystery man" - being in love with the idea of him, whether he is real or not. Especially in the Internet age, relationships seem to be a thing that can only be found in the movies.

Also a great pick for the stubborn friend that thinks she's above guy problems because the movie looks at society's dependence on technology, so it works for the intellectual looking for hidden social commentary.

"How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days"

Summary: It basically comes down to the story of a bet. Hudson's character, a "how-to" columnist for a magazine, bets that she can teach her readers how to get a guy to dump her in 10 days. Meanwhile, McConaughey's character, an advertising executive, bets his coworkers he can make any woman fall in love with him in 10 days. The two happen to meet at a bar one night and … the rest is history.

Analysis: This movie is a "cutesy" one - one that gets a girl angry at the characters for stupid mistakes one minute while cheering for them and their handling of a situation the next minute. There are numerous "That's exactly how I feel!" moments scattered throughout the film. For those who are more into listening than watching, this movie also comes with a great soundtrack.

"Runaway Bride"

Summary: Julia Roberts and Richard Gere define great chemistry in this film, even though their characters hate each other for most of it. Gere plays a down-and-out reporter who has been accused of, and fired for, objectifying women in his columns. As a last resort, he reports on a "runaway bride" from a local town. In his research, he falls in love with his subject (Roberts) and tames her runaway heart.
